How do I get a Trilogy medal?

You can earn our epic gold Sea to Summit Trilogy medal by completing all 3 events in the series. You can do this all in one year or take it over 2 or 3. When you cross the finishline of your final event in the set you will be awarded your Trilogy medal at the finish!

What is the best way to get there?

Parking: Park at our event car park (approx. 3 miles from the start line) by grabbing a parking pass for £10 per car via your RR account and then hop on our FREE shuttle bus from the car park to the start line. You do not need to book a seat for this shuttle. This will get you to the start line on time pre-event and be operating all afternoon to get you back to you car once you've crossed the finish line!

Where to stay: The Lake District is not short of accommodation options! Our start is in Seascale which has a handful of seaside B&Bs and a local campsite available or you could look further up and down the coast. Please remember it takes longer than you think to drive anywhere in the Lake District! For example Windermere is only 50 miles away from our start line but that will be about a 90min drive.

Can my supporters join me?

Supporters will be able to cheer their runner over the start and finish line from our event village. We will publish recommended access points on the route for your supporters closer to the event date or they could look at joining us on the event as a volunteer to get involved! Supporters can also make use of our car park and a shuttle provision. Seascale is a small village, please help us be respectful to the local residents by utilising our car parking option and keeping the village clear.

Can I volunteer?

You can view our current volunteer positions here. You can earn Rat Race Event Credit to use on a future event entry or you can rope your supporters into volunteer while you're on the course! Volunteer credit vouchers can be gifted to others.
