Since 2004, Rat Race has been creating extraordinary adventures for everyday people. What started as a single event in Edinburgh has grown into a global portfolio of ultramarathons, cycling challenges, multisport adventures and expeditions spanning some of the world's most spectacular locations.

Mass Participation Events
Our Mass Participation Events are the heart of Rat Race. These iconic UK based challenges bring together hundreds or even thousands of participants to take on extraordinary journeys by foot, bike or paddle. Fully supported, professionally organised and designed to be achievable for everyday adventurers, these events prove that adventure is for everyone and are as inclusive as they are incredible.
Bucket List Adventures
These are the adventures you've always dreamed of. From running across Easter Island and climbing Mount Fuji from sea level to crossing Iceland or a frozen lake in Mongolia! Our Bucket List Adventures take you to some of the world's most incredible destinations. We take care of the logistics so you can focus on the experience of a lifetime. These can range from 20 - 40 people experiencing this adventure alongside you.
Small Group Expeditions
For those seeking true exploration, our Small Group Expeditions go far beyond traditional adventure travel. These pioneering journeys are designed for adventurers who want to step off the beaten track and experience some of the world's wildest and least-visited places. Travelling in small teams allows us to access remote landscapes, immerse ourselves in local cultures and embrace the spirit of genuine discovery. These are bold, challenging and often groundbreaking adventures where self-reliance, teamwork and curiosity are rewarded with experiences that few people on Earth will ever have.
Test Pilots
Every great adventure starts somewhere. Our Test Pilot programme gives adventurous participants the opportunity to join us as we explore new destinations, test routes and develop future Rat Race events.
