Following a successful launch of the ‘Rat Race Urban Gym’, in multiple cities across England, Scotland and Wales in 2010. Rat Race Adventure Sports, the creator of iconic adventure sports events such as ‘The Mighty Deerstalker’, ‘Men’s Health Survival of the Fittest’ and ‘The Green Belter’, has now created an amazing franchise opportunity for industry leading experts looking to bolster their revenue streams. We are seeking highly motivated and experienced fitness professionals to launch the Urban Gym in many new UK city centre locations with Rat Race Adventure Sports.

Do you have what it takes to be a Rat Race Urban Gym Franchisee?

We require successful individuals or partnerships that can act as effective role models and inspire our Rat Race customers looking to improve their health and fitness. The candidate(s) must have a keen interest in adventure sports and undertake regular sporting challenges. Be commercially minded, with a proven track record of driving grassroots marketing activities though both traditional and innovative channels to create, maintain and ultimately develop sales figures.

All prospective franchisees are required to hold, and must be able to provide documentation of a (REPs Lv3) Personal Training Diploma or an Advanced Fitness Instructor qualification, Personal Public Liability Insurance (with a minimum cover of £5,000,000 for teaching classes in outdoor environments), as well as a valid and current First Aid qualification. It would also be desirable but not essential for prospective franchisees to hold other relevant fitness qualifications such as T.I.D.E. (Training in Differing Environments) or Group Exercise Instructor qualifications such as circuits or ETM.
